I won’t go into the whole sales pitch of why you should use me of the 1000+ other SEO firms available, I’d rather share what to be aware of when selecting a firm to do your SEO.
Red Flags:
- Guarantee of 1st page rankings in any period of time
- Claiming to have secret/insider knowledge of how search engines work
- Boasting “Google Certification” or having a “Special Relationship” with Google (Doesn’t hurt if they have Google Certification, but it does not make them an expert)
- Require that you get a new website hosted by the SEO company
- Any SEO company that uses “best practices” is already behind the times
Now these are just a few but you should get the idea of what to look for based on variations of these examples. Most of my business comes through personal connections, but I am always happy to explore a new opportunity.
